The first and foremost line of equipment that any vehicle based adventure traveler should acquire is proper recovery equipment. It can literally be your lifeline and will most definitely increase your likelihood of returning your vehicle and crew home safely. It is also nice to be able to provide assistance to those less prepared soles you will inevitably come across in your distant travels.

The quality of the recovery gear you choose to carry cannot be a decision taken likely. You do not what to be worrying about the failure of equipment holding you from damage to your vehicle or injury to yourself. This is not an area to scrimp on.
