Auxiliary Fuel Tanks

Front Runner has developed a line of high grade auxiliary and replacement fuel tanks for their domestic South African market that are up to the task of the African Bush. Several of their tanks are now available in the US.





Top of Tank

The Front Runner Auxiliary Fuel Tanks are made from CR12 Stainless Steel. Notice the intricate design to maximize the space available for the tank, offering as much volume as possible.





Bottom of Tank

These tanks are fully welded, baffled and tested before they leave the factory. They are also painted with a chip resistant covering to protect them over the long haul. The bottom of the tank surface is smooth and tapered to the rear. This optimizes clearance while avoiding possibilities for snagging the tank on an obstacle.



Complete System

Each tank comes as a complete kit, including the tank itself, a split filler neck, all necessary hoses, a fuel pump and a fuse link. All you need to add is the wiring to activate the pump.





OEM Compatible

They mount to existing frame locations, so major modificaiton is not necessary. The factory filler neck and tubing to the main tank are replaced. As an auxiliary tank a switched pump draws fuel from the bottom of the tank and pours it into the filler neck of the main tank. There is no gauge currently for this tank. If the switch is left on, the fuel will fill the main tank and neck, then flow back into the auxiliary tank at the top of the filler neck.

Outstanding Clearance

Front Runner has taken great lengths to create an auxiliary tank that maximizes volume while maintaining great ground clearance. When in place, the tank actually sits higher and offers a better departure angle than did the spare tire in this location.




Clean Finishing Touch

The split filler neck is shaped in such a way to allow you to turn the filler neck on the gas pump one direction to fill the main tank, then remove and turn another direction to fill the auxiliary tank. A new gas cap is supplied to provide a clean finish to your system. Unless you knew it was there, you could not tell you had increased your capacity three fold.



We currently carry several options for Toyota Land Cruiser. Tanks for some Toyotas, Land Rovers, and other makes are not listed, but we can special order any product they offer. If you don't see the model for you, call us and we'll see what we can do.
