The Series 3 Family Rooftent holds the distinction of the largest rooftent offered by Eezi Awn, and is new for the fall of 2006. It is new to the Equipt line up as well. It has updated features which include all new larger side windows and modified interior pockets. The Family Rooftent has all the same high quality features that the other models offer in a 2200mm or 86" wide platform. It maintains the same length and height as the other Series 3 models. The Family Rooftent has a closed footprint of 48”x86”x11”, and an open measurement of 96”x86”x51". With its added width, it is necessary to mount this tent to open off the side of the vehicle or on an expedition style trailer. The Family rooftent weighs in at approximately 187 pounds, complete.

Dustin Johnson (Tuesday, 26 December 2006) Rating: Used this for the first time and was very impressed. Woke up with 3" of snow on it and we were still warm and dry. This tent is VERY roomy. Easily slept two adults and three children. It was much easier to set up and take down than I was expecting. Loved how dark it was inside the tent even with the sun shining on it. Very well made.

JS (Monday, 04 June 2007) Rating: I need to state the same in that the 2200 works great for family needs. Two adults and three children sleep easily in this tent. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I have mine mounted atop my FZJ80 and have used it extensively. It's kept the family of 5 well rested in below freezing above timberline as well as in Arizona desert temperatures.
Couldn't recommend this tent more. It's bigger than a king sized bed, and well worth every millimeter of space.
