Moab in the springtime is a beautiful place to be alive. The experience of the sandstone and vistas will stay with you forever. This particular adventure found us with the Wasatch Cruisers Club on the Poison Spider Mesa trail. A glorious day for some wheelin'. We made it up the waterfall and to the wedge. The wedge is a unique crack in the sandstone that you straddle with your vehicle. Within 30' of this obstacle my FJ40 blew a transfer case. Part of the game, I guess.
With the help of some good friends we salvaged the trip with a night run through Cane Creek, and lot of camaraderie. The recovery equipment we carry certainly paid for itself on this adventure.
