The Green River wanders through the expanses of Eastern Utah and joins the Colorado River deep within the sandstone walls of Canyonlands N.P. There is a lazy stretch of river roughly 120 miles long between Green River Utah and the confluence of these two great rivers. This adventure is typically split in two, with the put-in/take-out at Mineral Bottom, on the White rim Trail. Each section usually takes a couple days and nights. The upper portion of this stretch is called Labyrinth Canyon. The lower stretch takes you to the confluence, where a jet boat retrieves you and takes you back up the Colorado River to Moab.

We search out opportunities for solitude in remote locations, and this definitely qualifies. With four days of gentle current, and no one else around for days, you start to understand what equipment is vital to your survival.
