Two weeks after a high altitude touring adventure in Ouray Colorado with 50 close friends, I traveled to Crested Butte to meet up with Bruce and Barbara Miller and their gang. They have an annual gathering they call the Triple Bypass. It is a tremendous outing that traverses over three separate high elevation passes and puts you back where you started.
I made this 1000 mile round trip journey in a topless Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 in two and a half days, mostly solo. It is exhilarating to be that much in the elements. I loved every minute of it, and hope to be invited again.
