Due to a passing in the family, Jimmy Buffett cancelled his concert dates in September 2003. We were already on our way to the coast to revel in a little Caribbean slice of heaven when we heard the news. Never one to cancel an adventure, we turned East and ended up in Aspen Colorado. Late September in the Colorado Rockies is an amazing time of year. The mountains are full of aspen changing to every color imaginable. We continued our altered itinerary over Independence Pass and into Leadville. We challenged a rocky 13,000 foot pass and landed in Breckenridge, following a rare Toyota Prada from Costa Rica. We ended up in Vail and closed the place down that night.
"The best navigators are not sure where they are going 'til they get there, and then they're still not sure"
Jimmy Buffett
