Ouray Colorado is with out a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. Traveling over passes above 13,000 feet in a vehicle a is tremendous experience. Telluride, Silverton, and Lake City help provide a perimeter around the San Juan Mountain Range. It is alway a pleasure to join Bruce and Barbara Miller and their band of family and friends in their annual adventure high above tree line. The air is thin and the views are endless.
We traditionally take the FJ40 on the trails in hopes of chasing the end of Summer and one last topless ride. Each time we try, it rains. It's a bit less than smooth as well. With the weather being on the nippy side, we tried the 100 Series Land Cruiser on the second day. It made it so nice, I am not sure if the 40 will see those hills again. Some traditions fade, but the memories never will.
