EQUIPT Expedition Outfitters - Expedition Trophy, October '07

This years annual Expedition Trophy was the best yet. The location is only released weeks before the event, but the spots fill up months in advance. What a great time. This years event was located in the desert highlands somewhere between Phoenix and Flagstaff Arizona. This year had many firsts. A couple of these included the change of management to the Overland Society, and the first annual Happy Hour Trophy.

Finally, an event I knew I had a chance at. We pulled out all the stops. We built a bar with pallet wood and a pneumatic nailer, our vehicle awning had parrot and palm tree lights. Burt the Tiki God of Exploration was in the house, and the Tiki Lounge sign said we were open. Jimmy Buffett in the background and Singapore Slings were the drink du jour. Little drink umbrellas were the favorite fashion accessory of the night. Needless to say, we won. Cheers.
