Family-Made in Denmark Since 1999
Alubox was founded in 1999 as a family-owned Danish manufacturer of premium aluminum storage cases. Twenty-five years later, those same cases are deployed across defense, industrial, emergency services, and recreation worldwide — earning a reputation for build quality and durability that has made them the go-to storage solution for serious expedition travelers.
Equipt founder Paul May first met Søren Wiberg of Alubox at the Abenteuer Allrad tradeshow in Germany. The handshake that followed became one of the longest-running exclusive import partnerships in U.S. overlanding — predating the overlanding boom by nearly a decade.
Every Alubox is still handcrafted in Denmark from EN AW-5754 marine-grade aluminum. The construction method — precision-bent ribbed walls, extruded base and upper rim, heavy-duty cast aluminum corners — is fundamentally different from the stamped-and-welded boxes flooding the budget market.
